Early Surveys in North-Central Bullitt County

On 28 Nov 1782, John Helm and George May surveyed 400 acres for Thomas Philips. As best as we can determine, the survey is outlined in magenta surrounding the I-65 Brooks exit on the map below. More details about this survey are located on this page.

Then on 27 June 1784, Benjamin Patton and George May surveyed at total of 1400 acres for Edward Williams that shared parts of two lines with the Philips tract. It is outlined in red below. More details about this survey are located on this page.

Nearly two years later on 5 Jun 1786, Robert and Alexander Breckenridge surveyed a total of 1400 acres for Robert Shanklin, located south of Williams' survey. It is outlined in green below. More details about this survey are located on this page.

Meanwhile, on 12 Mar 1783, John Handley and George May had surveyed a total of 1400 acres for George Clear that we think is outlined in blue below. More details about this survey are located on this page.

While Clear's survey was done before Shanklin's, Shanklin had his recorded first.
