1936 - Treasurer of Junior Class.
1936-37 - Basket Ball.

Hornback courteous, studious, kind,
No better student you can find.
In debating he did excell,
And in basket ball he has done well.

DOROTHY THOMAS

1936 - Won second place in county-wide beauty contest.
1934-35-36 - Cheer Leader.

Dorothy smiles and works away,
At her studies day by day,
And we believe the years will bless
Her with success and cheerfulness.

FRED BRYANT

1936 - Editor L.-J. News.
1936-37 - President of Senior Class.

Fred Bryant, the dark-haired lad,
Who in radio is always glad,
To ponder well, we truly call
A pleasing friend to one and all.

JAMES MATTINGLY

Mattingly is our mechanic here,
He will go high we do not fear
In building autos, and we see
A future bright for Mattingly.

LAMONT BEERY

1035-36 - President of Junior Class.

Lament Berry studies well,
But what he knows you cannot tell,
Because his modesty is plain,
But yet a high goal he will attain.

HELEN MITCHELL

First year high school at Southern Junior High.

Helen Mitchell one must praise
By her earnest studious ways,
And twice the prize in spelling won,
And all her work has been well done.

1936-37 - Basket Ball.

Booth was there in playing basket ball,
And in guarding beats them all,
No matter how hard the game may go,
He never gives up in holding the foe.

John L. Thompson is a friend
Who stands for the right until the end,
And we believe, he will go high
In any work that he may try.

HOWARD DAUGHERTY

Daugherty is a worker true,
And many things he learned to do
That are worth while, and we can tell
Whatever he does will be done well.

The Bullitt County History Museum, a service of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is located in the county courthouse at 300 South Buckman Street (Highway 61) in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The museum, along with its research room, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday appointments are available by calling 502-921-0161 during our regular weekday hours. Admission is free. The museum, as part of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and is classified as a 509(a)2 public charity.
