Adam Shepherd's 200 Acre Survey

On 29 Aug 1798 Adam Shepherd paid James Shanks to survey 200 acres of land located south of Long Lick Creek. This was located south of the survey of Jesse Reede and that of Spilman and Owings.

Adam Shepherd's 200 acre survey partly overlay Benjamin Stansbury's 1792 survey of 100 acres as shown on this drawing, copied from a survey done to divide the land of Archibald Magruder amongst his heirs in 1863.
