On 1 Jan 1842, John B. Summers sold 33.5 acres of the land formerly deeded to him by his father, Benjamin Summers, to Matthew Wilson, land that adjoined a tract that Wilson already owned.

This indenture made this first day of January 1842 between John B. Summers and Mary Jane his wife of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and Matthew Wilson of the same county and state of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John B. Summers and Mary Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $1,005.00 current money of the United States to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Matthew Wilson a certain tract or parcel of land on Horse Run, a branch of Cedar Creek in said County of Bullitt containing 33 1/2 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows, to wit.
Beginning at a stone, the northeast corner to Hornbeck's old tract now owned by said Wilson, and running thence S 88° E 141 poles to a stone in the original southeast boundary line of Charles Williams' survey of 365 acres, thence with the same S 35 1/2° W 49 poles to a beech stump, thence West 113.2 poles to a stone in the east boundary line of Hornbeck's old tract aforesaid, now owned by said Wilson, and thence with the same N 3/4° E 44.2 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land and appurtenances unto him the said Matthew Wilson, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever, and the said John B. Summers and Mary Jane his wife for themselves and their heirs convenant and agree to and with the said Matthew Wilson that they will and that their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said tract or parcel of land and appurtenances unto him the said Matthew Wilson, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns from themselves and their heirs, and from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons claiming or to claim the same. The foregoing land is sold at $30 per acre with all its appurtenances. In testimony whereof the said John B. Summers and Mary Jane his wife hereto set their hands and seals on the day and year first before written.
