Joshua Hobbs sold this land to John Lee on 16 Oct 1802. The land was located on the waters of Crooked Creek.

This indenture made this sixteenth day of October 1802 between Joshua Hobbes of Nelson County and State of Kentucky of the one part and John Lee of the County of Bullitt and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Joshua Hobbes for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell and convey a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and seven and three-quarter acres situate and being in the county and state aforesaid on the waters of Crooked Creek, a branch of the Rolling Fork, and bounded as follows to wit.
Beginning at a large sweet gum, a small elm and maple in Harrison's line, thence with said line S 52° E 80 poles to Richard Low's corner of two hickories in said line, thence with Low's line N 45° E 50 poles to Low's corner, a sugar tree and elm, the original of black oak being at the foot of a knob, thence N 35° W 46 poles to a beech, thence N 35° E 163 poles to a hickory and beech, thence S 78° W 29 poles to a hickory, beech and dogwood, thence S 15° W 123 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances thereto belonging, he the said Joshua Hobbs doth covenant and agree t oand with the said John Lee that he will warrant and forever defend the said tract of land from himself, his heirs or any other claim whatsoever.
