On 28 Sep 1908, Lemuel and Minerva Nichols deeded an acre of land to their son Willie B. Nichols, part of land that had been deeded to Minerva by the heirs of her previous husband, Lewis Samuels. This deed is transcribed below.

This deed made and entered into this the 28th day of September 1908 by and between Minerva J. Nichols and L. W. Nichols her husband, parties of the first part and Willie B. Nichols, party of the second part, all of Cupio, Bullitt County, Kentucky.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of ten ($10.00) dollars cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties of the first part do hereby convey to the said second party in fee simple the following described lot or parcel of land with its appurtenances in Bullitt County, Kentucky, to wit.
Beginning at a stake in Simon Arnold's line and with said line 60 feet to two black locust (one gone) formerly a corner to William Stibbins, thence North 50° W 25 feet to a stone, corner to Stibbins, thence northeast course 125 feet to a stake, thence southeast course 315 feet to a stake, thence in southwest course 150 feet to the beginning. This course has not been surveyed, but is sufficient to contain one acre, more or less and is a part of the same course conveyed to the first parties by L. W. Samuels' heirs by deed of sale August 22nd 1863 and recorded in Deed Book P, pages 277 and 278, Bullitt County Court Clerk's Office.
