On 10 Dec 1821, John Logan sold 1200 acres to Samuel Goldsmith. This is the same 1200 acres that Jacob Myers patented in 1788. We have not yet discovered how Logan obtained the land.

This indenture made this 10th day of December in the year 1821 between John Logan of the one part and Samuel Goldsmith of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John in consideration of $600 in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby bargain, sell and convey to the said Samuel a certain tract of land containing 1200 acres more or less lying and being in Bullitt County and bounded as followeth, to wit, on the waters of Salt River about three or four miles below the mouth of the Rolling Fork, adjoining Francis Holland's 1000 acre survey on the northeast containing 1200 acres, and bounded as follows, to wit.
Beginning at the morst eastwardly corner thereof at a beech on a bank, thence N 55° East with Loney's and Myers' line 790 1/2 poles to a poplar and two sugar trees on the northeast side of a hill, thence N 35° West 243 poles to two beeches and ash, thence S 35° West to John Dorsey's corner to his 3125 acre survey and with his line the same course in all 790 1/2 poles to a hickory and beech, corner to said Holland's 1000 acre survey, and with a line thereof South 35° East 243 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold to the Samuel Goldsmith and his heirs forever the aforesaid land and the appurtenances and the said John does hereby covenant to and with the said Samuel and his heirs to warrant and defend the said land against the claim of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the day about written. (signed) John Logan.
I do hereby release to Samuel Goldsmith all the right, title and claim which I have to the land conveyed by John Logan to the said Goldsmith except the part the said Goldsmith agreed to let me have. (signed) John Myers
