Martha Burch Shawler to Zadok L. Brown - Part of 200 Acres

On 18 Jan 1848, Martha Burch Shawler sold her one-sixth share of Eli Burch's estate to Zadok L. Brown, as shown below.

Know all men by these presents that we Martha V. Shawler, heretofore Martha V. Burch, heir of Eli Burch, late of Bullitt County, deceased, and Joshua Shawler, husband of the said Martha V. Shawler, both of the county of Spencer and state of Indiana, in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars in hand paid by Zadok L. Brown of Bullitt County, Kentucky, do hereby revise, release, and forever quit claim unto the said Zadok L. Brown, his heirs and assigns forever all our title, interest and estate, legal and equitable in the following premises with the appurtenances situate in the county of Bullitt, state of Kentucky, bounded as follows.

Beginning at two white oaks in Mackey's line, thence North 30° West 246 poles to a white oak and poplar, thence South 53° West 133 poles to a stake, thence South 30° East 246 poles to a stake in Mackey's line, thence with Macker's line North 53° East 133 poles to the beginning. Surveyed for John Carr for 200 acres.

The above named Martha only claims as heir of said Eli Burch the undivided one-sixth part of the above premises, which part she together with Joshua her husband who is tenant by courtesy has quit claimed forever to said Zadok L. Brown, her interest in the above described premises. Given under our hands and seals this 18th January 1848. (signed) Martha V. Shawler, Joshua Shawler
