Nancy F. Phelps to J. A. Hoffman - Part of 2 Town Lots

Wesley Phelps' widow Nancy F. Phelps sold the lower half of Shepherdsville lots 39 and 40 to Dr. James A. Hoffman. This was located south of the Maraman Bros. location.


Bullitt County Deed Book 29, Pages 319-320

This indenture made and entered into by and between Nancy F. Phelps of the first part and J. A. Hoffman, party of the second part, all of Bullitt County, Kentucky, this 18th day of November 1891.

Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars, one hundred paid cash in hand and one hundred to be paid twelve months after date evidenced by note of said second party bearing interest from this date and payable in twelve months, the said Nancy F. Phelps, party of the first part, has sold and does hereby sell, transfer and convey to the said J. A. Hoffman, his heirs and assigns, to have and to hold forever with covenant of General Warranty the following described real estate lying in Bullitt County, Kentucky on the west side of Main Street in the town of Shepherdsville, to wit. Beginning at the point where N. Simmons' line (now Maraman Bros.) intersects Main Street, thence West 198 feet and 11 inches to the alley, thence South 39 feet 8 3/4 inches to Alexander's line, thence 198 feet 11 inches to Main Street, thence 39 feet 8 3/4 inches fronting on Main Street to the place of beginning, being part of lots 39 and 40 as shown on the map of the town of Shepherdsville, being the same property purchased by W. Phelps at the sale made by the master commissioner of the Bullitt Circuit Court under a decree of said Court in suit of W. Phelps against Amos Culpre(?) on the 21st day of May 1877.
