Jacob P. Weller to Lorenzo Hogland - Part of Lot 41

On 16 Oct 1854, Jacob P. Weller sold part of his part of Shepherdsville lot No. 41 to Lorenzo Hogland as shown below.

This indenture made this 16th day of October 1854 between Jacob P. Weller and Martha Ann Weller of the first part and Lorenzo Hogland of the second part, all of Bullitt County, Kentucky.

Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $100 cash in hand paid hath granted, bargained and sold, and doth by these presents grant, bargain and sell unto the party of the second a certain part of a lot of ground lying in the town of Shepherdsville and being part of Lot No. 41 and part of lot conveyed by Robert L. Byrn to said Jacob P. Weller and bounded as follows.

Beginning at the southwest corner of said lot where it joins the lot now owned by Lorenzo Hogland and fronting on Main Street 17 feet, thence running back to the division line between lots No. 41 and 42, thence south with said division line 17 feet to said Hogland's line and with his cross line to the beginning.

To have and to hold said part of lot and appurtenances unto said Hogland, his heirs and assigns against the claim of the party of the first part and their heirs and all persons claiming or to claim the same. In witness whereof the party of the first part hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first written. (signed by J. P. Weller and M. A. Weller)
